"The stretch of Granville between Robson and Nelson used to be known as “The White Way,” due to a nighttime glow created by the hundreds of neon and electric lights that decorated storefronts. That idea will be brought back with a series of white lights resembling neon tubes that will extend from Dunsmuir to Nelson. Sidewalks south of Smithe will be widened three-and-a-half metres, similar to the Granville Mall block between Smithe and Robson. Also, new trees will be planted."
